Amino Acids

Ominous alien earth crashers disguised as musicians that play instrumental sci-fi/surf punk music with wild abandon.  Their music is reminiscent of Nash the Slash gone psycho.  Check out the masked marauders performance that is out of this world.

Love Meets Lust

Love Meets Lust

Putting a modern spin on retro electronic dance pop is a new band with the suggestive name of “Love Meets Lust.”  Inspired by ‘80s bands The Cure and Depeche Mode, they update the timeless sound of that era into a fresh new beat for today.

The band with the morose moniker sounds nothing like their name suggests.  The Dead Bodies' music is an infectious mix of swirling harmonies and electronic musical flourishes that make for moody well-crafted pop tunes.  Spin.com calls them “equal parts David Lynch and The Shins.”

The Silent Years

This band's dramatic, yet winsome rock has garnered favorable reviews from indie connoisseurs Pitchfork Magazine, and The Silent Years were heralded as the “Underground Artist of the Year” in 2007 by Spin Magazine.

Millions of Brazlians

Millions of Brazilians have turned a lot of ears and gained an impressively steady following for a band that has been around for less than a year.  Add keyboard sounding bass, machine-gun drum beats, nervy vocal stylings and reverb-laden lead guitar and you get dance-rock that is mischievously sexual but earnest and even glib.  They play with the swagger of Libertines, but tempered by the blue-collar guts and honesty that Detroit is known for.
