New Center is located 3 miles north of the Detroit River, immediately north of the Wayne State University campus.

Community landmarks include the Fisher Building, Cadillac Place (the former General Motors Building), the Henry Ford Hospital campus, TechTown, and New Center Commons Historic District.

The district can easily be reached by four major freeways and is the Detroit location of AMTRAK train service.

New Center is just blocks from four major freeways: Lodge (M-10), Jeffries (I-96), Chrysler (I-75), & Ford
(I-94).

From M-10 Lodge – Exit at Pallister (southbound) or Milwaukee/Grand Boulevard (northbound).

From I-96 Jeffries – Exit at Grand Boulevard (both east and west bound). Go east on Grand Boulevard about two miles.

From I-75 Chrylser – Exit at Clay/Grand Boulevard (southbound or northbound). Follow Grand Boulevard west for about one mile to the festival. Note: Those driving northbound and exiting at Clay/Grand Boulevard must turn left to get on the southbound service drive that leads to Grand Boulevard

From I-94 Ford – Westbound travelers should exit onto the northbound Lodge Freeway (M-10) and stay in the right lane, which is the Milwaukee/Grand Boulevard exit. Take the exit to Grand Boulevard. Eastbound travelers should exit at Trumbull Avenue. Turn left on Trumbull and drive about 1 mile north to Grand Boulevard.

From Windsor – Take the northbound Lodge (M-10) to the Milwaukee/Grand Boulevard exit.

AMTRAK SERVICE
Amtrak's Michigan Services
trains provide several convenient options for getting to and from New Center. Michigan Services include the following trains: The Pere Marquette: Daily service between Grand Rapids and Chicago, The Wolverine: Daily service between Pontiac and Chicago, The Blue Water: Daily service between Port Huron and Chicago.

The Detroit AMTRAK station is located at 11 West Baltimore, one block south of West Grand Boulevard at Woodward Avenue.  For a map showing the station's location, CLICK HERE.
